NJR to launch a new reflective-type optoelectronic sensor NJL5830R for touchless pushbuttons

New Japan Radio (NJR) developed a new reflective-type optoelectronic sensor NJL5830R for touchless pushbuttons and started sample distribution.

General Description

 NJL5830R is a reflective-type optoelectronic sensor that integrates a high output power infrared LED and a receiver photo IC in a unique package.
 This sensor is not only used for single pushbuttons, but also used for devices with adjacent pushbuttons that can operate touchless.
 Touchless pushbuttons for public devices contributes to bacterial infection prevention and hygiene improvement.
 NJR will launch touchless optoelectronic sensors series in the future.

Features

    • 1. Existing pushbutton can get touchless operation
      • NJL5830R is a reflective-type sensor that can realize various touchless pushbuttons, using a small and thin surface-mounted package, so that it can be embedded into existing pushbuttons.
        Touchless operation contributes to bacterial infection prevention and hygiene improvement.
    • 2. Support for Adjacent pushbutton operation
      • NJL5830R can be used for adjacent pushbuttons while optimizing the detection distance. It is highly suitable for devices with multiple pushbuttons, such as vending machines and ticket machines.

    • 3. Digital output (normally off type)
      • The NJL5830R is a "normally off type" reflective optoelectronic sensor whose output becomes "HIGH" when it detects an object (e.g. a finger).
        It can be used with an existing pushbutton wiring, and no special processing is required.
